The Company

Ibex Insurance Services Limited is an international insurance broker established in 2000.

Ibex is a coverholder for Lloyd's of London, the world's leading insurance market but does not work exclusively with Lloyd’s. Ibex also works with many other leading insurers in order to offer clients a wide range of products which meet most general insurance needs.  Ibex Insurance is fully authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Commission in Gibraltar and is also a member of the Gibraltar Insurance Association.

Understanding the needs of expatriate clients living in Portugal and Spain and providing a full service in the English language from point of sale, through all documentation and to payment of a claim has been key to the success and growth of Ibex over the years.  As a result we have rapidly expanded to become one of the largest insurance providers for expatriates based in the Iberian Peninsula and a leading provider of domestic motor insurance in Gibraltar and Portugal.

This has been accomplished as a result of our high quality cover, competitive rates, innovation and of course the continued support of our agents.

As mentioned above, Ibex does not only work in the expatriate market.  Since 2005 Ibex has also looked after the insurance needs of many Gibraltar residents and through an association with the Automóvel Club de Portugal, a growing number of Portuguese nationals as well.

The Head Office is located at 68 Irish Town in the historic quarter of Gibraltar. This 100 year old building has been restored to its former glory and was awarded a Gibraltar Heritage Award.

Ibex policies can be accessed through many channels, all of which offer the same competitive price.

Agents and brokers

Ibex has an unrivalled network of over 200 agents and brokers located in expatriate communities throughout the Iberian Peninsula, Mallorca and Tenerife. All are highly trained insurance professionals who can provide quotes, issue new policies, renew existing policies and help with claims. They are directly supported by a team of Ibex Business Development Managers.
